RIDPA Branches

The Women's Action for Social Development (WASD) and Kids Worldwide Bridge (KWB) are two branches of the Rural Integrated Development Program of Africa.

Women's Action for Social Development

WASD, an organization formed to help women and children, is headed by an 11-member board of women. The organization was developed in 1998 in order to deal with women's rights issues in the Democratic Republic of Congo. Tens of thousands of women have been murdered, raped, tortured, or buried alive during the war; today the violence is still widespread.

Kids Worldwide Bridge

KWB was formed in 1998 to help connect children of the world and to bridge the gaps of poverty, racial inequality, color, and ignorance. Childhood is an important time in a person's life, and KWB helps bring children togther and learn tolerance.

There are many startling issues that children in the Democratic Republic of Congo and Tanzania are dealing with today, including poverty, inadequate nutrition, contaminated drinking water, and disease.
