Mission Statement

The mission of the Rural Integrated Development Program of Africa (RIDPA) is to improve social conditions of impoverished people and bring humanitarian relief to persons living in villages and refugee camps in the DRC and Tanzania. Efforts to fulfill this mission include:

• Providing pure unpolluted water
  
  
• Education
  
  
• Establishing medical facilities (clinics and dispensaries) and upgrading existing hospital facilities
  
  
• Providing local community people with sanitation and nutrition education
  
  
• Establishing centers for children orphaned by war and AIDS
  
  
• Extending emergency relief and distribution of food, medicine and clothing to refugees

Priorities for RIDPA services include:

• Healthcare
• Education
• Agriculture
• Women’s Rights
• Street children, orphans, and widows

RIDPA is in operation in Tanzania and East Congo, in particular in the rural areas as government development efforts are mainly focused on towns and centers. Villagers and refugees do not have basic human needs such as clean water, food, medical care, and housing. Patients, especially the very young and the elderly, die on their way to distant medical centers.

Working Together

RIDPA employees strive to assist real people with their everyday needs. We work with volunteers from communities to assist families in poverty and refugees to improve their social and economic conditions.

We derive our funding from contributions from everyday people such as you. Due to urgent need, RIDPA also seeks assistance and partnerships with churches, social ministries, religious organizations, and other non-government organizations including foundations and companies. All contributions are tax deductible.
